Thank you for backing the Alt case and we wish you and your love ones a great Thanksgiving.
Finish/Coating Progress
We have been working with a coating manufacturer in the Bay Area that have a specially formulated soft-touch coating solution for iPad/iPhone cases. We got several samples and are testing them to see how it wears, and how thick the coating needs to be.
It has to be the right thickness to be durable but yet thin enough to not effect the fit of the Alt case.
Last Round of Prototypes before the Test Mould
We are also doing another round of prototypes, this will be the LAST prototype before the test-mould. It will be done after Thanksgiving. It's a fine tune adjustments of the fit of the case to ensure a proper and snug fit for both the 6/6 Plus and the new 6s/6s Plus models and finessing other details. And it will also include a new mould design for the wall mount to ensure ease of manufacturing to reduce cost.

Hendra here, CEO & Creative Designer at mod-3.
We've been working tirelessly to make Alt a reality and thanks to your incredible support we were able to achieve our original funding goal of $26k just three days after launching. While many of you are new to mod-3, I've been super-excited to see many old friends return from my previous campaign, RADIUS, two years ago - you guys rock!!
Now, to continue with the momentum you've started and to achieve the next step we will need to put extra effort in to leverage our early success. We're making steady progress!
This week we are making another round of prototypes to make some final minor adjustments. This will most likely be the final 3D printed version before we move on to the soft-mould and full production version.
